Senator Paul Wellstone

It isn't often in America that a person with a deep understanding of politics, but without celebrity and tons of money, actually makes it to the highest levels of government to fight for the people. It is even rarer that such a person, after making it to such a high position, maintains their principles. Paul Wellstone was such a person.

I learned most of what I know about Wellstone from reading his book, The Conscience of a Liberal: Reclaiming the Compassionate Agenda, which I recommend.
