CAZADERO AND SONOMA COAST, CALIFORNIA
OCTOBER 28, 2003
Woke up at Oshyan's in Cazadero on last full day of the trip and had some lunch. Then we took a scenic drive down King's Ridge to Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway), stopping at Russian Gulch and another beach whose name we can't recall, before heading back home to Cazadero. Along the way, we listened to Duncan Sheik, Coldplay, Counting Crows and Train. Listening to Clocks by Coldplay while driving along a beautiful stretch of Highway 1 was a definite highlight. Back home, we had chicken and rice for dinner with the homegrown veggies and salad, checked out Oshyan's rock and mineral collection, then I packed for the trip back to Detroit the next day.That next day, October 29, we left Oshyan's at 7:30 A.M. PST, and read some Letters From a Nut on the way back to the airport in San Francisco. My plane left San Francisco around 2 PST, flew two hours to a stopover in Denver, and then, after an hour delay there, I made the final 3 hours trip back to Detroit, arriving home around 1 A.M. EST safe and sound, and ready to go to work that morning.
