ADDICTIONS

"Every form of addiction is bad, no matter whether the narcotic be alcohol or morphine or idealism."
- Carl Jung on page 329 of Memories, Dreams, Reflections

I believe we live in an addictive society. Addictions are everywhere. Some we recognize, such as drug and alcohol addictions. Others are gaining recognition, such as gambling and sex addictions. Still more go relatively unrecognized as addictions, such as addictions to television, shopping, or civilization itself.
